London: Deburr operative - EUjobs - 07-12-2008

Job Purpose: blending / polishing aircraft components
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Undertaking of blending damaged components, polishing to improve finishes, and corrosion removal of Aircraft components with pneumatic tooling.
Reading engineering drawings is helpful but not a must.
Local NDT of components to aid dressing of ladder cracks.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
It would be beneficial for the individual to have a good knowledge of hand finishing techniques and knowledge of engineering drawings, although not essential.
Experience in the use of pneumatic tooling desirable.
Experience with different abrasive grades of flap wheels but again not essential.
Able to work in team environment, and able to work on own initiative to complete work tasks provided.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Engineering apprenticeship preferred but not essential.
General engineering experience desirable.
Able to work shift (early and late shift.)
