"What can we learn from genius people?"
We know that genius people don’t disregard their youth. What does it mean? Does it mean a strong confidence at a young age? It’s more than that. It’s the belief, very strong belief in his/her talent. Besides it seems that they have the inner drive to create. They feel that they are in a mission. And they don’t have any doubts about this.
Let’s consider, for example poets. Should a genius poet admit the thought that somebody else, more experienced one, must write about love and not he, because of his young age? No, he never admits such thoughts. He has an absolute belief that all he needs to care about is to create poems.
The same is true about scientists. When they feel that their discovery is the true reflection of the nature, who can stop them? Their youth? When they get to the depth of knowledge, who can shake their incomparable feeling of discovery?
So, what can you learn from genius people? One very important thing: not to disregard your young age or your talent. You may think “Never have I disregarded myself”. But wait a minute. May be you do this in a subtle way. Your subconscious might play some tricking games with you. First of all you may think: “ I am young. And it’s just natural and reasonable to admit that I am not ready to become yet a famous poet. My age doesn’t tell me a lie, does it?” But have you given a thought that Mozart began developing his talent at the age of six?
The inner voice of self-disregarding sounds like this: “I can not do this because I am young”. There are more experienced people, who can do the job. I will be on the side watching how they create. I am ready to follow their lead, after all they are older, they know better”. Have you noticed here the attitude of diminishing your personality and your qualities and "raising up" someone else above yourself? Self-disregard inhibits the creative action, including an early and strong action. But a creative person knows the truth expressed in the Chinese proverb: “Not the cry, but the flight of the wild duck, leads the flock to fly and follow”.

I agree, everything depends on our mind and way of thinking. Since my childhood I have always tried to be a little bit different from the others and never failed to try some things which were not quite for my age.
Parents are those who must teach children such things. I mean if a parent discourages his child that he would never do one or another thing, the child will never achieve his goal.

Yes, that's important.
The key for timid people is to overcome the self-doubt and make an attitude transition.
And once you decided to make this psychological transition you must start strong.
Don't be tentative.

I agree with you guys. One may study a lot of interesting things, but this is all only theory! People should act and gain practical experience and not theoretical. Some parents make big mistakes by not allowing their children to be more independent.

Right. And besides they need to have a heart of a champion: they didn't win yet, but strongly believe that they will do it. And sure enough their day will come!

I consider children must practice professional sports from a very young age. Sports means not only sports, it means a very fast self-development.

Yes, this could be a very good foundation for the all rounded self-development especially after the professional carrier. Serena Williams's father told about his daughter the following:"She hits well the tennis ball, but she needs to start hitting books". Obviously then, he meant that his daughter needed a well rounded self-development. Father's concern about one sided progress of his daughter pushed Serena to ponder seriously about her future.
So yes, professional sport is good for self-development, but serious consideration must be given to the life after the short professional carrier. And it is not about the money and successful business. It's more about the future meaningful life. And this depends very much of what thoughts is in the person head.

I believe these words were said by Serena's father many years ago, when her father couldn't expect she would be become the USA's and world's tennis legend.
Professional players don't need books for advancing their level of intellect. They travel a lot and thereby communicate with people a lot.
One can not be a good sportsman and a doctor in science at the same time. The things Serena acquired (including experience in communicating with different people) and will acquire by the end of her career will be more than enough in order that the rest of her life to be happy.

Her father told her this after she won two tennis Wibledon titles and a few of the USA open titles.

But I consider that you have good reasons to encourage professional sports. And I agree with you that they help people to advance in many areas of knowledge.

For a child it is really important to grow in an environment full of smart people. He should take example from these people, and he'll do it automatically. So by genius people we mean smart people, we can develop one's competitive feeling by pointing out to a child the success of others.

Honestly, I wouldn't like my child to be a genious. It's too much. Being a genius means not to live in one step with the society.

I understand your atitude.
Just a short remark: the most important thing is not if your child will be at the same pace with the society.
The most important thing if he/she will love you, as a responce to your love, be he/she genius or not.
The life story of academician Saharov shows this.

A genius can't be happy naturally. Geniuses are permanently concerned about the work they are doing and never get in touch with the people that surround them, 'cause they're thinking totally different.

Nevertheless we can learn something important from them. First, not to forget that we are born with the ability to create. Second, to believe strongly in it. And third, to act on this thought. As someone stated:"Believe and you will see it", or "You are what you think".

Genius people live, think and act above normal intellectual abilities.
And they start doing this at a very young age. This fact indicates that they are born to be ginius.
For us is very important to know what kind of qualities they manifest. We can observe that
from the very young age they don't have inner barriers, which would hinder them from exploring new things. Beisdes they have an inner drive for the non standard thinking. They are not affraid to question the well established theories and concepts. By contrary, they are brave enough to generate their own ideas.
Many people can imitate such qualities. This will not turn them into genius persons. But this will help them to uncover their hidden potential and talents. There are a lot of life experiences, which show this.

Einstein stated that imagination is more important than knowledge. Obviously, he had a vast knowlege, but his imagination was extraordinary rich. So this gives a clue to what is genius about.
We can learn from the above mentioned Einstein's self-observation a lot. For instance, we may train children to use imagination from their infancy and put a more emphasis on imagination in our schools.

Notice, Einstein said that the imagination is more important than knowledge. He didn't say that knowledge is not important. In fact knowledge was very important for Einstein, because he contributed with his discoveries to the spread of knowledge. Nevertheless, his insight and acumen made him put imagination above the knowledge.

And besides imagination is a product of meditation. And we know that meditation has a penetrating power of understanding things, which we learned (got to know).

I know meditation is important. I alwys tell myself I will learn how to meditate correctly, but I never have time to do that :-(
