My green business idea - Steven - 05-05-2009

I am not innovative, but I respect the environment. I have always been environment-friendly and tried to give minimal impact on natural processes. For example, every bulb in my house is changed to energy-saving bulb, my car eats only 5 liters of fuel per 100km. I like what my deeds, and there is not a dialogue that I don't call others on minimizing the environmental harm. But nobody pays me for that. So what do you think if I start a "green business" by running seminars where I can make people become conscious about their actions and thereby cause less ecological problems? I would charge, let's say 20 dollars from each person, and if the group consists of 20 people, it would be 400 dollars from one seminar. Is it a good idea?

I hope you have success but I don't think people would come to your seminars and what is more would pay for it Smile. You may try, but the success is not guaranteed. Also, you can choose not to organise seminars, but may be to sell something, such as bulbs as you said, or work on innovations and so on.

Hi, you can make advertisements and motivate people buy your goods. But the success will depend on your creativity and imagination. You may try to build a web-site and sell your products there. I think your business will see a great success.

No, it isn't a good idea. No one will pay you for your seminars...You should think about another way to promote your "green" business, as it was said you may post advertising on different sites...

Everybody has some ideas about how to keep the money or energy, or the computer and internet may help them. It why, I think your ideas with educational seminars is just ingenuousness. But you may try to create video seminars which will be sold on-line for a small price.
