Laser cure for old-age blindness - Riser - 07-06-2009
The technique helps reverse the effects of age-related macular degeneration - the leading cause of blindness in over 60s in the western world.
Developed by pioneering eye expert Professor John Marshall of King's College London, the laser returns the back of the eye to its youthful state.
What do you think about this? I read somewhere that we can keep a good eyesight if we make special exercises.

A revolutionary laser treatment could save the sight of millions, British experts claim.
The process is said to stop the onset of age-related macular degeneration, one of the commonest forms of blindness, which leaves victims unable to read, drive or live independently.
It can be carried out in just ten to 15 minutes by any ophthalmologist. While it does not cure sight loss, its creators say it could prevent a generation from having to put up with declining vision in old age.

Glad medicine reached so advanced, but I hope I get it up to an advanced age will find the elixir against growness! I hope my grandmother does not mind that I will not get old! :lol:

is a good news for our grandparents! in old age is hard to get happy when does not see, not hear, you can not go, etc.bravo! the old people deserve the best .... they have done so much for us

It is really great what the high technologies are doing with our health. I think it is amazing and a very good thing that old people have the chance to see the world in the same way as they did many years ago, it is like the second life for them, a beautiful life.
