Out-of-body experience - Nathan - 08-10-2009 The dream of many of paralysed people, computer-game designers – and pornographers – is one step closer to reality with the demonstration of a technique that allows people to physically identify with a virtual body. In the latest experiment, vibrating pads with flashing lights were positioned on the subjects' backs. Virtual bodies were generated by a camera filming their backs and were viewed as though 2 metres in front of the subjects through a head-mounted display. Repeated stroking of their backs, and the sight of the doppelganger being stroked, created the feeling that they were outside of their bodies. At the same time, the subjects saw flashes on their virtual bodies, and felt vibrations on their real bodies. So ,result that soon, it will not be necessary, even to go for a walk? Re: Out-of-body experience - Peach - 08-10-2009 Where is going to this world, I do not understand. Instead to impose them to do exercise for health and physical, they invent sensors that imitate movement . So for what they need legs? A paradox of life. There are so many invalids who dreams every night about their first step, and here people, perfectly healthy is immobilize voluntarily . Re: Out-of-body experience - Faw_Peter - 08-11-2009 I'm not agreeing to such inventions, but these people do what they like, and they sacrifice for it a lot,one of it being the possibility of movement. Therefore okay. And maybe even with such device the disabled will be able to see their dream, even virtual, if real is not possible. Re: Out-of-body experience - tricker - 08-14-2009 what can I say ... evolution ...May be is not essential what we need the most but people are payed to invent. I hope you will use in this invention as required eg medicine Re: Out-of-body experience - Benn - 08-24-2009 Faw_Peter Wrote:I'm not agreeing to such inventions, but these people do what they like, and they sacrifice for it a lot,one of it being the possibility of movement. I agree with you! if is for the people goodness, to help disabled then is ok. :livre :geek: Re: Out-of-body experience - hellodear - 08-27-2009 It is interesting and amazing. But I as earlier want to be far from such inventions. I think, it is too unusual for our generation and only future generations can be used to use such technologies. |
