Is the CDMA technology indeed ecological? - Faw_Peter - 05-12-2008

It is considered that it doesn't harm so much the environment. But, these are only words for advertising and increasing the sales. Communication is the last area which influences the environment.

hmm, that's strange, no word about "ecological". And our local CDMA mobile operator asserts this is a new ecological technological. What do they mean? Maybe it's less harmful because it emits less radioactive waves.

I recently found out that my cell phone matches for WCDMA network. What is the difference between CDMA and WCDMA anyway?

WCDMA's radio channels are 5 Mhz wide - that's its main feature, whatever it means.

I heard that CDMA gives radiation as well as GSM does. What's its advantage anyway?

I didn't know that GSM is harmful for nature.
It must be harmful for human beings too, no?

Re: Is the CDMA technology indeed ecological? - Benn - 09-20-2008

GSM is firstly dangerous for human beings and less for the environment. It develops cancer inside people's brains.

Why aren't mobile phones then withdrawn from production and usage?
