American citizen opening a business in Europe? - shane - 12-07-2009

How would I do this? What exactly would I need to do in order to open my own business in the Europe? Thanks

depends what country .... probably the general rules you know ... remains you determine where, the European country, and the field of investment, which is very easy to find in a web source ... after already goes meetings and bureaucracy, the necessary documents and so on ...nothing difficult

you would almost certainly need a work visa (or visa + work permit) - you would need to check the precise requirements for the country that you intend to work in.

As a tourist you can get a Schengen visa (this allows you to visit all of the Schengen Area, which covers most - but not all - of the EU), but I'm not sure if you can get a work Schengen Visa...

You would also need to find out about local taxes and insurance requirements for business,' because they also vary between countries. There may be restrictions on how much money you can bring into and take out of the country.
