Is every world of warcraft disk bound to the account? - Duinhir - 01-24-2011

My brother took our WoW account to college with him but we still have all the required disks to redownload it. However, he said that the disk is bound to the account. Is that true? If I want to play do I have to repurchase all the disks?

Yes, that is true.
All Blizzard games, once purchased and activated are bound to a Battle.net account.
So unless your brother allows you to log in to WoW using his account, you will have to repurchase the disks and register them to your own, separate Battle.net account (which is free to make).

It's not the discs that are bound to the account ... it's the cd key that comes with the disks. You will be able to install the program, but you will not be able to login at the same time that he does. You would need to purchase the game again and create your own account if you want to be able to play at the same time that he does.
