Global warming is caused by excess CO2 levels getting trapped in our atmosphere, which is trapping heat in our atmosphere. This warmer temperature does cause hurricanes to become larger and more powerful, because they thrive on warm, tropical air. I don't know about tornadoes though. Also, it causes the ice to melt, which will cause the water levels to rise. If the global temperature rose 8 degrees, the water would rise 30 above the current sea levels. It would wipe out places such as Bangaldesh.

John Stossel discusses this in his book Myths, Lies, and Downright Stupidity. The world does not appear to be in any grave danger at this time, and it is doubtful that human activity is at fault for any warming that may be taking place. See also 'State of Fear' by Michael Crichton for a good novel that addresses these issues. The issue is controversial at best. It is dubious that the human race will do anything to prevent it (if it is happening) until it is far too late to worry about it.

You'd be better off learning spelling and grammar, so you might contribute something.
