Should a man be sensitive? - Andrewz - 06-24-2008

What is your opinion about whether a man should be sensitive and show his emotions and feelings or should behave coldly and maintain his courage?

Re: Should a man be sensitive? - Benn - 06-25-2008

love is beyond the feelings, courage of a man has nothing to do with feelings.

Re: Should a man be sensitive? - Terry - 06-26-2008

oh, come on! A man should be a man. I also had difficult situations in my life, but I tried to keep myself in my mind. That's actually what distinguishes a man from a woman - a man should control the things he's doing.

Re: Should a man be sensitive? - Steven - 06-27-2008

I don't know what to say, it's easy to give advices when you're not "in the skin of love". A man can be sensitive, sometimes girls like that, sometimes they don't, so it depends on the girl who loves him.

Re: Should a man be sensitive? - Benn - 06-28-2008

It's not exactly about sensitivity. You should do elementary things which would not leave her in the shaddow. Learning something new about your mate is as important as not forgetting her birthday.

Re: Should a man be sensitive? - Benn - 07-01-2008

Women like when men learn more about their lives. So becoming a friend with her friends (both women and men) will be greeted by her. It's just that the man has to be careful not to overpay attention to her friends.

Re: Should a man be sensitive? - Steven - 07-04-2008

sure, otherwise he will have to prove he hates them!
But it doesn't refer to all women. Women sometimes hate when a man interferes her matters.

If a man becomes sensitive, his girlfriend/wife will gradually overtake the position of the leader and will make him become her slave. Think about that. The man must be the leader and control the situation, so he shouldn't be sensitive.

Re: Should a man be sensitive? - M.Helen - 07-07-2008

Boys, I'd like to speak on behalf of all women:
WOMEN DON'T LIKE SENSITIVE AND SNOTTY MEN! We like to feel safe near a man - he must be strong and confident. That what makes him a man. If we loved weak guys, I believe we could become lesbians then, right?
I don't think you guys wouldn't like your girlfriend to be stronger than you.

Re: Should a man be sensitive? - petergiovanni - 07-09-2008

It's not a question of being strong and therefore insensitive. I am happy to make the decisions and be strong but I believe a woman likes to be feel wanted, likes to feel the man understands her and can be romantic rather than distant. Am I right about women or not?

Re: Should a man be sensitive? - Benn - 07-09-2008

Sure, things can be combined. But anyway, the dominating part is felt. So it depends on the woman.

I need to be careful what I say

I really hate it when men pretend to strong, by acting so cold and over-protective that they are just offensive. These guys are usually mentally weak and immature.

I like genuinely strong men. I think most women need to feel secure. But, to feel secure, you need to know what is going on in your lives - so the guy must be able to talk. It's nice if a guy asks how you are after a bad day, or takes your feelings into account... So I guess I want both :haha

Re: Should a man be sensitive? - Terry - 09-14-2008

you want both? :-)
That's nice, however a little bit difficult to find.

Re: Should a man be sensitive? - Faw_Peter - 09-22-2008

How about if a girl is in difficult situation - a burglar wants to steal her purse, I think in this situation she would prefer a strong guy to a weak one.

Re: Should a man be sensitive? - Big_Becka - 09-27-2008

This is true, Peter. But if a guy comes home drunk, wanting a fight - you want him to be a weak and sensitive man!!! This is what I mean - there must be a balance 8-)

Re: Should a man be sensitive? - Andrewz - 09-30-2008

Weak or sensitive is the question that depends on the times we live in. So, just think of the men who lived 200 years ago. They were totally different from what we see today.
If you analyze it carefully, you will understand that the balance of sensitiveness has been overtaken by men from women, whilst women prefer to be stronger. Hmmm.... strange isn't it :quoi
How can it be explained? I don't know. Maybe it's an evolution. And what if genetically men are tired of being strong and they wanna change? Is that possible?

Sensitive and weak have absolutely no parallel! It takes a very strong man to be vulnerable/sensitive. And in doing so he gains and can maintain his cherished control in the relationship. Tricky, but if you can get this down, you win!

You're right!

Re: Should a man be sensitive? - Martin - 12-18-2009

I think that it should be sensitive just in some cases, but not frequently, because a man should be the head of the family, he shouldn't show his weak points because almost all the girls love when a man is a man not a sensitive one which is afraid no to broke a nail.

Re: Should a man be sensitive? - Yanna - 12-20-2009

"A man must be a man".... What a primitive outgiving!!!
I think that every man is tender and sensetive, but they don't want to show it.

Re: Should a man be sensitive? - Lorry - 12-29-2009

By my opinion, no it should not be sensitive, it should show its power and force. A woman should feel in safe while staying behind a man. He should not show her his weakness and fears. At least while she is near him.

RE: Should a man be sensitive? - Kiven Kya - 09-12-2018

Lory! I totally agree with you. You are right. But I want to add one more thing here, sometimes man feels really sensitive in case of love, but that time they also try to show their power instead of their emotions.
