I do not think you need to worry about Moldova becoming empty - many of the Polish and Baltic immigrants to the UK are now going back home, because the exchange rate is not so favourable (and their savings are worth less). I have heard that many of them support a family back in Poland, rather than moving the whole family to the UK. (Quite a few girls have discovered that their nice Polish boyfriend has a good Catholic wife and kids back home... :evil: )
It will be interesting to see what happens to the EU, now that we are entering a recession :? Hopefully the economic differences between EU states will level out with time.

I have heard that some of the remaining eastern eauropean countries were not allowed in the EU, because of their human rights record? I have read a lot about human trafficking, etc...
