he is popular because he talks a lot about Russian Empire, Russian Must be a WORLD'S SUPER POWER, etc etc.

People love listening to him, as it sound as a lullaby to most vodka-cnsumed media consumers.

:nonnon

how can such Anti-Semitic Anti-US and Anti-UK (for some reason) talks be popular??

Sure.

Several bulava's, or just one "Tzar Bomba" on Poland and Czech, and there will be peace and quiet again.

Search in youtube.com after "bulava" and "tsar bomb".

Why do you hate Poland and Czech Rep.??? Psychologists agreed that jealousy is NOT a healthy state!!

My advise to you: RELAX!!

Personally, I don't support Poland and Czech Republic for their permission to set US PRO-radar missiles. By this action they will only give birth to another conflict in the middle of Europe.

Lor you fail to understand that there are some things in this world wich are preserved by fear. Sounds strange but it is fact. There is balance of power in the world. Unfortunatly today world is heavili out of balance. US is single Super power, China wants this title and i think they are wery close to obtaining it.
For this balance defense is more dangerous than offense sometimes. Treat of using WMD is not so high but even treat of using such weapon is preventing biggest countryes from fighting each other. Remove this treat and it will be real chaos. Remove this treat from one country and it will be global tyrant. ( i am speaking about US). No matter how democratic or free they are it will be real dictatur for everyone who disagrees with them. Now you witness first signs of such dictatur. That is why we are so concerned. Of course to build up defense to dismiss treat of nuclear attacks from everyone is unprecendented undertaking. Parhaps it is not possible at all, with curent tech, but who knows? Parhaps with time. And why Polland and US sudenly found common ground? Iran became more dengerous?

Russia’s influence on west Europe through natural gas is false. Russian gas represents 6% of European energy sources. Only Germany is connected to the Russian pipelines. Russia can not control the EU foreign policy by gas as Saudi Arabia can not control the USA foreign policy by its oil. Russian-European trade crisis would be not only troublesome but much more catastrophic for Moscow. Do not be intimidated by a bear, it’s still a week bear for you to get scared (and after all you are human beings and not rabbits), it can only ruin Georgia, and not economically but by bombs and millions of tanks and around 100 000 soldiers deployed right at the entrance of Rokki tunnel connecting North Osset with the so-called South Osset (actually it is Samachablo, as indispensable part of Georgia as Kakheti or Imereti, if you know anything about Georgia) Who, apart from those brainwashed by Kremlin propaganda can believe that Georgia attacked either Russian borders or Russian “peacekeepers” who defend their “citizens” in the Georgian territory? So, until it’s too late and until Russia turns off its pipelines simply because it does not like either Merkel’s or Sarkozy’s handling their own citizens or media (suppose they reveal anti-russian sentiments) think of alternative pipelines or solar energy. And do not think Russia has changed. Just remember how it defended its Chechen citizens.

Eka, if it's so, why isn't then Zhirinovski ruling Russia?
If a kid asks where rain comes from, I think a cute thing to tell him is "God is crying." And if he asks why God is crying, another cute thing to tell him is "Probably because of something you did."

So-called Russian “peacemakers” killed Georgian civilians by cluster bombing. If anybody has a doubt, please, visit the website of Human Rights Watch to see video of bombing of Georgian town Gori.

Maybe Zhirinpvskij is not an official head of Russia, but is Medvedev an actual president?

well, I really don't know whether you are the president or not, but the whole world knows that Medvedev is just a puppet...making this so evident is kind of ridiculous for such a big country like Russia.

Sometimes it is very convenient to look as crazy as Jirinovskij (he is a great showman). One is clear that yes he is not ruling Russia solely; but he is definitely a VOICE of the actual president

You may be surpriezed, but Putin some times makes jokes too. And his jokes much more close to russian dry humor, than Zhirinovski jokes. Maybe that is why hi is in charge Smile

Early life and politics
Zhirinovsky was born in Alma-Ata, the former capital of the then-Soviet Republic of Kazakhstan. In July 1964, Zhirinovsky moved from Alma-Ata to Moscow, where he began his studies in the Department of Turkish Studies, Institute of Asian and African Studies at Moscow State University (MSU), from which he graduated in 1969. Zhirinovsky then went into military service in Tbilisi during the early 1970s. He would later get a law degree and work at various posts in state committees and unions. He was awarded a Ph.D. in philosophy by MSU in 1998.

Zhirinovsky, whose father was a Polish Jew, began his formal political career in the Shalom Cultural Society, a Jewish organization given support by the Soviet government in order to compete with independent Jewish groups which sprang up during the era of glasnost under the tenure of Mikhail Gorbachev in the latter part of the decade.[5][6] (On a private visit to Israel in June 2006, Zhirinovsky paid his first visit to the grave of his father, Wolf Isakovich Eidelstein, who is buried in Holon, Israel.[7])

Although he participated in some underground reformist groups, Zhirinovsky was largely inconsequential in Soviet political developments during the 1980s. While he contemplated a role in politics, a nomination attempt for a seat as a People's Deputy in 1989 was quickly abandoned.[8]

The French president is Jewish too, isn't it?
How come that a lot of them have now access to the power of many countries that are far away from their mother land?

Dear Friends,

It's funny to watch you all divert onto the oldest topic of the jews, that is discussing jews.

The point here is merely whether the West wants to recognize the newly built role of Russia as the global superpower shouldering off the States off their throne or not? Hence all the indignation and affected fury of Europe.
