How supermarkets fool people
#1
According to the sanitary legislation, the products with expired dates are subject to immediate removal from the store's shelves. The expired products are often given to animals/pets. What really happens is that supermarkets don't hasten to give them to animals. In most EU countries, about 4% of the products in markets are expired.
If the herring is expired, it is frozen, if chickens expire, they are given to gastronomy. It's an ordinary practice. The most often expired products are diary products. Usually the consumer takes them without paying attention to the date. For selling it quicker, the expired production is placed in front of all products, while the fresh production stays behind.

Another way for selling the expired production is to change the production date. Many stores have in their cellars special devices for counterfeiting the production date by using special ink. It doesn't take much time to clean the former stamp and put a new one.

The product packed in polyethylene are easy to put in a new pelicle with a new label. If they don't manage to clear the production date, supermarkets are simply covering the date with their bar code.

Expired production is a real threat for the man's health, sometimes ever for life. You may have a food poisoning, which will appear from various bacteria that form inside an expired product.

Jesus Terry! That is a really serious accusation! Do you have any proof?

Traditionally the older a product is the cheaper it becomes.

At least in the old days this was very normal.

Nothing prevents the supermarkets from making fresh products more expensive.

If milk 1 day old would be 25 cents cheaper lots of people would buy it.

John, you're very naive if you thought that supermarkets are fair. For example, did you know that in UK every fourth pack of cigarette comes from smuggling.

did you know that things stolen supermarkets are later included in the cost of products. Thus, fair consumers have to pay for thieves' work.

Yes Steven, but it doesn't mean that if costs are big enough, everything will be included in costs. Remember that consumers will find other stores if this shop cheats

but they won't, as each of them cheat. Put yourself instead of a store owner. If you can't protect your products and they're stolen then this means expenses, and someone must assume this expense, and gues what - it regards all of us.
If a kid asks where rain comes from, I think a cute thing to tell him is "God is crying." And if he asks why God is crying, another cute thing to tell him is "Probably because of something you did."

I agree with Terry and suppose that the supermarkets and those who owe them don't care about people and their health at all. Their aim is to sell as many products as possible and at an expensive price. Now we should think of ourselves, and study attentively the labels and the composition of the products.

They care about their business, about how to gain more money, about their families and .....I think that's all...
The owners of supermarkets does not interdict to read labels. So we are guilty in most cases. ;(

Everyone knows that before any holiday in all supermarkets there are reductions, but maybe not everyone knows that this reductions are made in a very clever way. Sellers rise prices with 1,2% for different type of products and then they make a reduction with 1,2%alike. And many people doesn't observe that.
