After a hard fight against pigeons, Venice authorities launched a campaign against uneducated tourists. Every year, the city is visited by about 20 million tourists, and among them there are tourists who behave coarsely with to the local population or show disrespect towards architectural monuments and places of culture.
Giant posters, calling people maintain the streets clean will soon appear in the biggest tourist areas in Venice.
Venice citizens consider it rude if anybody doesn't offer their place in motorships (the only transport mean in this city) to pregnant women and old people. Also, tourists are welcomed to take off their rucksacks on motorships.
Authorities also plan to control non-payers in this public transport. Now tourists won't be able to get on ships without paying the fee.
A group of women, called "City angels" will follow tourists' behaviour and will not allow them swimming in fountains and throw garbage on streets.
