What dou we eat?

Modern diets consist of over-processed foods and lifeless foods which produce little enzyme activity and contain little or no fibrous material. We are eating devitalized foods that are not fresh, with fewer nutrients.
All the natural fiber, such as grain peels, have been removed in the refining stages. Because of this the diet is poor in fiber, digestion is slow and the waste materials stay in the body longer. This sets up the perfect condition for toxic materials to form. Also, processed foods can contain huge amounts of chemicals and toxins which were added in the processing.
We are eating lots of chemicals like coloring agents, artificial flavors and preservatives that can make the food appear more attractive and taste fresher.
Even non-processed foods like fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy products, whole grains and meats often contain chemical residues from pesticides, herbicides, hormones and other products used to make them grow. All of these substances reduce the amount of Vitamin E available for biochemical and physiological processes. So I think the answer is obvious, we eat junk food!!! But what is junk food?Junk food is an empty calorie food. These foods have little enzyme producing vitamins and minerals and contain high level of calories from fat.
Any food that has poor nutritional value is considered unhealthy and may be called a junk food. A food that is high in fat, sodium, and/or sugar is known as a junk food. Junk food is easy to carry, purchase and consume. People eat junk food because they are poorly informed and are not aware of its negative influence on our health. One of the reasons why they eat this, is that junk food is the cheapest one and it is prepared fast and doesn't require much time.

I don't agree with you Peach. Even those people who are informed about this dangerous for health food eat it with pleasure....They think they'll remain young and healthy all their life, until they get ill and overweight.

We eat what we buy in the shops. Anyone can tell me from where to buy healthy and not over processed food, if the shops are full only of it? There is a great paradox, the state advocates for a healthy nutrition, but sells genetically changed products in the shops....

we eat to live or in any case not live to eat! fast foods and other unhealthy food are for lazy people! scientists better would invent something against lazyness than all weapons and many others that are already enough!

I know very well what these products contain and still sometimes It came an appetite for such food. And I just go to MacDonalnd's and buy it ... Is not good to eat every day but once or two in weeks I do not think that will happen a catastrophe with my body ;-)

no, it isn't so. the junk food isn't the cheapest. i don't think so. the fact that you can cook it quickly is right . and it means that only lazy dogs eat unhealthy food, only if is not so taste Smile

Well ,of course, why to lose an hour or two in the kitchen and prepare food when you can buy ready made food just heating it? seems irrational, no? only ,one made by you is healthy and that you bought is full of chemicals..Already we choose what is most precious for us time or health...
If a kid asks where rain comes from, I think a cute thing to tell him is "God is crying." And if he asks why God is crying, another cute thing to tell him is "Probably because of something you did."

After doing some research this morning, I've decided that they way I eat is perfectly good, for me. I don't think there's any one proven, super-perfect way of eating for every body. The relationship between food, the body and the mind are so completely entwined...based on the expereinces you've had with food throughout your life.

I never hold a diet because I look good.... but, I can say that I'm equally sure as you, that my food rations is perfect for me. The principal is to eat when you desire and what you wish :-P :haha :langue

What do we eat? Yes it is a topical theme.First of all,I think that fast food is not only useless but also dangerous for everybody.Food should be healthy,it should give you energy,vitamins.And now just think and remember how do you feel after eating fast food? You feel lazy,relaxation,you want to sleep,don't you? Your organism spent all energy on digesting that difficult food,that food doesn't give you energy ,contrary, it takes energy.The energy what need you for fighting against deceases,and many other vital processes. So,you need to think very well before eating such kind of food

Unfortunately, in nowdays people are always on in rush , and usually have little time to eat .... but not only humans are guilty of not having health care but also fast foods that sell these products or companies that produce them... a bad vice is learned easier than a good one, especially if it is and tasty Wink
