Egypt is probably the oldest civilization of the world, developing since the 3.100 BC and became one of the first holiday regions of Greece and the Romans traveled to Egypt for fun and to see the famous beauties of ancient Egyptian civilization. Touristic , Egypt is attractive because of the pyramids, the Nile but also the coast which stretches more than 2400km. On the cultural-religious, is a Muslim country (94% of the population), and this enriches the charm of holidays in Egypt.

Egypt is located in NE Africa and SW Asia. Most of the country is in Africa, but eastern portion of Egypt - Sinai Peninsula - is considered part of Asia. Much of Egypt is desert, divided into 2 unequal parts of the river Nile. Egypt in the north bordering the Mediterranean Sea, in the east with Israel and the Red Sea, in the south with Sudan and Libya in the West. Cairo is the capital of Egypt and also the largest city of Africa, is situated on the banks of the Nile, where the river divides into several arms, forming delta flowing into the Mediterranean Sea. Cairo is the commercial center, administrative and tourist center of Egypt. Alexandria is Egypt's main Mediterranean port. Luxor and Karnak are the most visited temples in Egypt. The objective is best known tourist temple dedicated to the gods Amon and Temples of Karnak Chons dates for over 2000 years, most of them having an area of over 5000 square meters, is known as one of the wonders of ancient architecture.

Egyptian archaeologists have discovered a portal belonging to a hitherto unknown temple, under the Nile waters. Once led to a portal dedicated to the god of fertility shrine in Egyptian mythology, Khnum, announces Zahi Hawass, secretary general of the Supreme Council of Antiquities in Egypt. The building was discovered in Aswan region during the first expedition in history of observation of the deep Nile. The operation was launched early this year, authorities said.
Even if the portal is too hard to be moved, archaeologists were able to bring to light a block of stone weighing almost a ton. This block is covered with inscriptions that betrays its origin, a period between the 22nd Dynasty (954 â 712 BC) and the 26th Dynasty (525 BC â 664). however, think the block could be much older than it sounds, knowing that the stones of old temples were often used for raising of new sanctuaries.
Archaeologists hope to discover until September, when observation of the deep Nile operations would be completed, many more lost throughout history. They have already scheduled removal in light of two huge columns of the same temple. specialists research revealed and the remains of an ancient Christian churches. They are convinced that Nile still hide many secrets, and such operations should be organized more and more.

The sacred plants in Egypt were papyrus and lotus. Lotus blossom is similar to the sun and the flower was considered sacred. Lotus flowers is often represented in ancient temples or other buildings, sometimes as a freshman, sometimes bloom.
In Egypt is an unwritten law that respects all: do not steal. And religion forbids them to do, but also common sense. If you happen somehow to vanish any thing, to be sure that not one Egyptian had any contribution, but a tourist. Egyptians do not only stealing, but do not beg. Every time they owe for a penny to give you anything how small would not be: a marga, a flower, anything.

It is estimated that Egypt's population is 75 million inhabitants, but it's actually possible in reality to count 87 million. Inhabitants of Egypt are countless. Egypt is composed of 3% of land and is the area on which live 97% of the population, and 97% desert, where lives the remaining 3%, Bedouin population. Cairo has about 17 million inhabitants at night, but in day with 5 million more. Many of them commute. In this city there is one birth every 20 seconds.

Mummy was "prepared" as follows: the body was placed in a solution of water with sulfur and salt and left it about 40 days. Then the vessel were opened, made an incision of 5-15 cm on stomach and remove the bodies, then were placed in pots Canopia, different for the liver, lungs, kidneys, intestines. The heart remained in the body. Then the body was filled with spices, was shaved, brains are removed through your nostrils (throuhg eyes holes was caught with hooks and removed like a jelly), then was covered with a white bandage. Whole process takes 70 days.

Gold in Egypt is cheaper than in many parts and high quality, between 18-20 carats. A liter of gasoline cost an Egyptian Pound. A phone card costs 15 pounds. In Egypt as in the Arab world generally no mineral water. Oahed is number one water in all Arab countries...

Among Arab dishes include tahina a sesame paste, a paste of chickpea -humus, falafel a vegetable paste (actually a kind of Shaorma with vegetables).
From Aswan region is extracted granite and from Luxor region alabaster, material processed with big art by the Egyptians...

Nilometer was in the right side of temple, decorated with Greco-Roman elements. Depending on the level of Nile, tax harvest is established. As a result, taxes were high.

The cow was never included among offerings, like all animals who embodied the gods. Although is a Muslim country (90% Muslim population, mainly Sunni rite) and religious restrictions prohibit alcohol, but in these places has grown vines since ancient times and currently the best wine is the "obelisk".

EGYPT - "Pearl of Africa" - the country that prides itself on the longest river in the world, it really deserves its name. Without the existence of the Nile, which determine both the feature, and the whole history and economy of the country, this dessert would not have never developed a culture so advanced. With an eye to Egypt, appear before us to exotic places, pyramids, Pharaohs, Tutanhamon's treasures and mysterious image of a civilization, long gone.

An enigmatic treasure trove of almost unimaginable archaeological and cultural riches, it's hard not to think of Egypt without imagining the Sphinx, the pyramids at Giza, Luxor, the Valley of the Kings and the Nile. As well as being the world's largest open-air museum, Egypt also offers a slew of luxurious Red Sea resorts, many within reach of spectacular snorkeling, diving and windsurfing. Whether you see it by riverboat, from camelback or from just above the coral, Egypt's sights are unforgettable.

Egypt, I think that it is the most interesting and mysterious place on the earth. Egypt is famous for its some of the world's most famous monuments, including the Giza pyramid complex and its Great Sphinx, there are also numerous ancient artifacts. The entire country can be named as a big museum in which you can see many beautiful and major monuments.
