It's so quiet here these days. So I decided to write something not very important I found this site eu.org a few years ago, which offers free subdomains like xyz.eu.org. I got a couple of mine there which are working fine since more than 2 years. I thought I would share it with you guys.
You can get your free site like xyz.eu.org and free email addresses (I think upto 100 with google apps) like myname@xyz.eu.org, mybrothersname@xyz.eu.org, etc. So you can use it for your family or small business email addresses. BTW, this site is not related to EU, it's just the name. If you are interested you may follow the steps below (or if have a simpler solution, please share)
1. Register with free DNS like editdns.net or namecheap.com
2. Register your domain (example: xyz.eu.org) at eu.org and use the DNS nameservers from step 1
3. Register with google apps (standard version for free)
4. Update google apps cname verification in DNS. Update google apps MX records in DNS.
5. Now go back to google apps and add users (I think you can create upto 100 users now. It was 500 few years ago when I signed up)
If you think it's too technical but still wants a domain and emails setup, let me know I'll do that for you (free, of course, except for Helen )
