British Gas announced that it will increase gas price by 35%
#1
The Times, like all British newspapers, open edition with shock announcement made by British Gas company that will increase gas price by 35%. The newspaper commented that after this increase, millions of families will get to pay 100 pounds a month, or around 130 euros a month just on gas and electricity bills. ;( :nonnon

Several British MPs said that the increase announced by British Gas is indecent, especially given that the company would announce today and the annual profit estimated at millions of pounds.

Good to see you again, M.Helen! I was wondering where everyone went!

In the newspaper the other day, there was a report that several oil tankers are moored off the coast of Britain. Apparently they are waiting for the price of oil to rise, before they dock  Our energy companies are not nice people!

:-) I hope so too! The house doesn't have anywhere to make a fire! :?

It's more of a problem for old people: you can be sure that their winter fuel allowance will not increase by 35% :nonnon Fortunately, we may be having a mild winter Smile

So, are fuel prices rising in the rest of Europe? :quoi
