What religion are you, and how do you know that one is truth?
#1
Please do not just claim that it feels right. Every religion feels right to the people in it.
I mean, what proved to you that this is the one, true, guaranteed, truth?
An example of this is....
Muslims and Catholics are do not agree, and are opposites on several things, but both have people that believe in their religion so much that that will kill, and die for it. Both can not be true, so at least one, possibly both, feel right, but are not right.
Disregarding the "feeling right" what proof do you have that your religion is the truth?

I have no religion.

I seek the truth by following the evidence as objectively and consistently as possible, and never regard anything I find out as guaranteed to be certain. Permanent open-mindedness is the key, so I can adjust my understanding if new evidence comes along.

God sent me a monogrammed sweater for my birthday. How's that for proof?

Actually, I have no religion. I sometimes envy the ignorant bliss, but it's not worth the price. Not to me, and not to the many millions who have died in the name of concepts cobbled together by people grasping at straws.

I suspect personal experience and references to one so-called holy text or another are all you're going to get here. In addition to things like, "open your heart and you will find (insert god here) and that will be all the proof you need."

All religions, other than the Jewish religion, which was created by God, are made by man and are man’s attempt to please their gods and control other people. All religions have rules, rituals and laws to follow. Every religion believes that they have the answers for redemption. The answer for redemption through religion, lies within man’s ability to perfectly follow it’s teachings which man can not do. Jesus is the only one who followed religion perfectly.

Jesus is God’s way to reach down to mankind with love, forgiveness, acceptance and grace. Jesus is not a religion. He is God and He is the way for man to have fellowship with God.

When we come to Jesus, we are full of the original sin nature and the sins that we have committed. He cleanses us when we accept Him as our Lord and Savior and repent of those sins.

Our redemption and salvation results from Jesus’ willful and sacrificial death on the cross to take our place for our sin nature and our sins. He is the only atonement possible because He is without sin. Jesus does it for us because we are incapable of following any religion perfectly. He did follow the law perfectly.

Coming to Jesus as our Lord and our Savior, not religion, is what God requires for us to become forgiven, sanctified, and have the personal relationship with God that He intended from the start. Jesus is the only way to God.

hi. i am Wiccan and no im not evil and i dont warship the devil. i do not believe in the devil.
and there is not just one true religion. and there is no fake religions as people claim. umm different religions fight each other for some reason. take the Christians for example. they think that every other religion other than their own is fake untrue and warship the devil. just because our symbol is the devil pentacle upside down doesnt mean that we warship the devil. our symbols represents and mean 2 different things. we protect ourselves from evil. if we were devil worshipers than we would attract evil not protect ourselves from it. i believe that whatever religion you have, that you should have the same respect like everyone els. people should not fight based on what they believe.

my religion is the true christian church.. roman catholic.. the other churches inside of christianity who are evangelics are Ok but they don't represent the truth very good but they will be saved by the mercy of God..and for others like muslims.. etc.. they will be saved by their actions.. because we do not believe they worship other gods.. also jewish.. and buddhists and Hindu by their actions.. many teachings of those religions are part of the gospel like love your enemies.. if they practice the words of the gospel as they have in their books. they are saved.. they are saved by their merits and intentions.

I believe the Holy Roman Catholic Church is the most correct and truest religion. I do not believe in killing others to convert them or execute them as do so many in islam. I do not feel someone is damned to hell if they do not accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour as many in the JW sect of Christianity do.

I feel God is very, very merciful and has a great sense of humor. While I am 110% happy with my faith and my Church - I don't slam others who have different ideas on God. Maybe they are more right in some of their takes on things. I do believe God will take care of me if I work hard to do my best and be the best person I can be.

I may think Scientology, LDS, and JW churches are way off base, but I respect their rights to worship and believe as they do. I love the Jews as Jesus was one too. They have a very interesting and rich tradition too.

The Catholic Church formed the first hospital and the first university on planet earth. The Catholic Church has also been one of the biggest supporters of science throughout the last two thousand years. There are almost three hundred Catholic hospitals in the United States alone. The Catholic Church is also the largest private charity in the whole world.

I think those are some dramatic and impressive figures to show that God is supporting what the Catholic Church is doing.

Some will point out the abuse scandals in the press and try to claim the Catholic Church is evil and full of abusers. Not what the stats show. Recent statistics looking over the last THIRTY YEARS show that the rate of abuse in the Catholic clergy is less than a percent. Protestant christianity is around three percent and public school teachers and administrators it is almost ten percent.

These stats include physical and sexual abuse. Prejudice against the Catholic Church is the last great acceptable bigotry in American society and media. That is why you see so, so many articles talking about how evil the Catholic Church somehow is despite the reality.

Peace to all my Christian brothers and peace to those of islam who see Jesus Christ as a great prophet.

I am Catholic. I was raised Catholic, but when I got to college, I started to have many doubts about the Catholic Church, the Bible, and Jesus.

To make a long story short, I met some Catholics who were intelligent people *and* believed in Jesus' divinity, the inspiration and inerrancy of the Bible, and the teachings of the Catholic Church. This led me to investigate the matter further. I read *a lot* of philosophy and theology books and the more I read, the more my questions were answered and the more the doubt slipped away.

Since then, I have not come across any counter-arguments that seem logically tenable. And so Catholic I remain.

When the Almighty God came to Abraham and he obeyed the Word of God voice, God reckoned faith to him and accounted his believing for righteousness. This means God will speaks and we believe the Word of His voice and that faith which is in His Word being the substance and glory of the Word is given to us through believing.

There was a promise of the Spirit made to Abraham's seed, but that seed is not as of many but as of One and that seed is Christ Galatians 3: 14 and 16 and through Christ faith given to them who believe is the promise of the Spirit also then through the faith of Christ given to them who believe, Galatians 3: 22. This is the fellowship we have in Christ and is the trust we have in Christ toward God, the fellowship of the Spirit, 2 Corinthians 3: 3-6

Romans 8: 14 reveals "For as many who are led of the Spirit of God they are the sons of God"

There is no sufficiency of ourselves here, this gift of God's grace is only merited by the faith of Christ to whom the promise of the Spirit was made. And we who believe the gospel of Christ are made joint heirs with Christ heirs of God.

There is no pretense here , there is the demonstration of the Spirit, in Baptism that we are both buried with Christ unto death and simultaneously raised with Christ to newness of life and spirit, "For by One Spirit are we all baptized into ONE body of Christ; whether Jewish believers of christ or Gentile believers of Christ bond or free, and have all been made to drink into ONE Spirit"
1 Corinthians 12: 13 and Romans 6: 3-4 There is One LORD One Faith and One Baptism, Ephesians 4: 5

Christianity is the one true religion. That may sound awfully dogmatic and narrow-minded, but the simple truth is that Christianity is the only true religion. Jesus said that He alone was the way to the Father (John 14:6), that He alone revealed the Father (Matt. 11:27; Luke 10:22). Christians do not go around saying Christianity is the only way because they are arrogant, narrow-minded, stupid, and judgmental. They do so because they believe what Jesus said. They believe in Jesus, who claimed to be God (John 8:58; Exodus 3:14), who forgave sins (Mark 2:5; Luke 5:20; 7:48), and who rose from the dead (Luke 24:24-29; John 2:19f). Jesus said that He was the only way. Jesus is unique. He was either telling the truth, He was crazy, or He was a liar. But since everyone agrees that Jesus was a good man, how then could He be both good and crazy, or good and a liar? He had to be telling the truth. He is the only way.

Christianity is not just a religion; it is a relationship with God. It is a trusting in Jesus and what He did on the cross (1 Cor. 15:1-4), not on what you can do for yourself (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Buddha didn't rise from the dead, nor did Confucius or Zoroaster. Muhammad didn't fulfill detailed prophecy. Alexander the Great didn't raise the dead or heal the sick. And though there is far less reliable information written about them, people believed in them.

The scripture is right when it says in 1 Pet. 2:7-8, "This precious value, then, is for you who believe. But for those who disbelieve, 'The stone which the builders rejected, this became the very corner stone,' and, 'A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense'; for they stumble because they are disobedient to the word, and to this doom they were also appointed." (NASB).
The Mathematical Odds of Jesus Fulfilling Prophecy

"The following probabilities are taken from Peter Stoner in Science Speaks (Moody Press, 1963) to show that coincidence is ruled out by the science of probability. Stoner says that by using the modern science of probability in reference to eight prophecies, ‘we find that the chance that any man might have lived down to the present time and fulfilled all eight prophecies is 1 in 1017." That would be 1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000. In order to help us comprehend this staggering probability, Stoner illustrates it by supposing that "we take 1017 silver dollars and lay them on the face of Texas. They will cover all of the state two feet deep. Now mark one of these silver dollars and stir the whole mass thoroughly, all over the state. Blindfold a man and tell him that he can travel as far as he wishes, but he must pick up one silver dollar and say that this is the right one. What chance would he have of getting the right one? Just the same chance that the prophets would have had of writing these eight prophecies and having them all come true in any one man."

Stoner considers 48 prophecies and says, "We find the chance that any one man fulfilled all 48 prophecies to be 1 in 10157, or 1 in 10,00,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000, 000,000,000,000,000, 000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000, 000, 000,000,000,000,000,000,000, 000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 000,000,000." 1

The estimated number of electrons in the universe is around 1079. It should be quite evident that Jesus did not fulfill the prophecies by accident. He was who He said He was: the only way (John 14:6).

"and how do you know that one is truth?"

I am a Christian. I know that Christianity is the Truth because things in the Bible, like creation, the flood, and Christ, are factual.

"What religion are you"

I'm not scolding you, but just telling you because people make this mistake a lot. A person is not a religion, a person is a follower of a religion.

My life started off as a Christian after studying the bible for awhile it sounded so phony I decide for awhile I was an Agnostic. When I understood all scientific discovery and knowledge contradicted ever religious text of any kind ever written I realized what a hypercritical fence straddler I was and became an Atheist.

Any religion - it is the opium for the people.
People by nature of the soul - egoists. Everybody wants to live forever.
Having something if not here, but at least somewhere after.
Those men of genius, who came first thought of to create a paradise in heavens and hell under the earth, in fact, nothing particularly clever not invented. They just gave people something that people yearn for. And people want - immortality. And they - got this. At least in the form of faith in this beautiful nonsense. People do not want ugly truth. They want a fairy tale.

Sparks from the fire, too, might wants to be eternal. But it goes into nothingness under the pressure of imminent rule: "Nothing is eternal under the Moon."

Nothing is eternal under the Moon
and nothing new.
And everything associated with you,
just word - a moment of the toon.

Iam a proud Christian , i believe in Jesus Christ
i had my black days and it took a while to know the truth ... Christianity is the only religion that respects the human mind , and came in a reasonable sequence , it is the only religion that comply with the past , the present and future ...
it is too hard to tell you the depth of our faith , except that gods loves us so much and so dearly that he took a humans body to die for our sins ,,, we humans are so precious to him , that i feel lucky

when you are a true Christian , u can feel love ,strength ,hope and happiness during the hardest days ...
i hope that you find the right path , it always begin with a question and deep searching for the truth , but i would like to ask you to not to judge on the looks but go deeper , hope you find inner peace

I think your name on your page says it all. Read Luke 21, Mathew 24, Revelations, actually read the whole bible. The point is God gave us signs to prove he was the real God, even said in Isaiah 46:9-10
9 remember the former things of old;
For I am God, and there is no other;
I am God, and there is none like me,
10 declaring the end from the beginning
And from ancient times things not yet done,
Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand,
And I will accomplish all my purpose,’
Now let us take the name on your page Israel. God declared Israel would become a nation again. Which it has became a Nation again on May 14, 1948. God prophecies have come true and are still coming true. That is how we know he is the true God. Yes some believers believe merely what they are told. Yet I believe on what I read and what I see. I don't let any man deceive me for God said let no man deceive you. Not only that but God doesn't talk about killing those who don't believe him, you are supposed to help other see the truth. As for our enemies, we are suppose to love are enemies, according to my God, not kill them. That is why I believe Christian God is the true God and Muslims God isn’t; look at our recent history on what Muslims have done in the name of their God. Also, many things that only have been discovered in our recent history, was talk about in the bible. Scientific facts in the bible look up a list from this website http://www.livingwaters.com/witnessingt ... ible.shtml
Hope this helps. Anyone you doesn’t believe or questions there faith. Research, study, pray, seek God, and read. I personally just believe in God, Jesus, and the bible. That matters to me not religion. Knowledge brings truth and understanding. May God Bless

I am Roman Catholic.
There are a lot proofs of God's existence. There are miracles happening in the world.
Miracle of Fatima happened in 1917. Google it and you'll find a ton of information.
One time during the mass, the wine and the bread really turned into the blood and flesh. I've even seen the pictures.
If it wasn't God, then who made the world? I know there are a lot of scientific theories of that but there HAS to be something who made those scientific things happen. Do you understand what I mean?
