As an American, where would I begin to look for a professional level job in Germany?

I speak a little German, but am working on that. I would like to move there. Are there job placement counselors? Job websites in Deutsch?
Thanks to all for the help. Milkman, I have a JD degree and twenty years experience in private practice. Is that enough education?

The best site is the official one of German Arbeitsagentur.

Be aware you will need resident and work permit to move and work to Germany unless you are an EU citizen.

Since when Americans are professional LOL
Get some education first before daring to come to Europe
EDIT
Yes American degrees unfortunately are not recognized ín Europe and the reason is the education in the Uneducated States of America is worthless!
