London: Principal engineer highways hampshire

Principal Engineer, to work in design teams on a number of exciting major highway and motorway improvement schemes, being carried out under ECI and Design and Build Contracts.
Successful candidates will be responsible for detailed design and the preparation of contract drawings and documents, produced independently or by other team members.
You will have the opportunity to demonstrate your proven experience in project management, supervising and leading teams as well as your ability to communicate with colleagues and staff at all levels.
Chartered Engineers with wide ranging, appropriate experience or Incorporated Engineers with significant experience in the following:
- Highway alignment and junction design
- Safety barrier, drainage, pavement, traffic signs, and lighting design
- Application of the Highway Agency's DMRB and MCDHW documents
- Working in a Highway Design Office on medium to large scale projects preferably at tender and detailed design stages
- MX and/or Windes and Micro-drainage. Skills in AutoCAD
This position will suit individuals that are able to work independently and as part of a large team in an environment with frequently changing deadlines. Flexibility and an interest in multidisciplinary working are required.
