#1
You can place here different information about interesting towns, regions, places in Greece.

Olymp Mountains
Legend says that Mount Olympus in Greece was the ancient home of the Gods and the famed ‘Throne of Zeus’.

Only 100 Kilometres from the large and vibrant City of Thessalonica, Mount Olympus (2917 м) boasts the highest peak in Greece and forms part of a range of mountains consisting of eight peaks. In 1937 Greece declared Mount Olympus and its surrounding area its first National Park.

Agios Nikolaos
The best place in the Crete Island. There are small archaeological museum. If you wanna simply to rest you can enjoy the delightful cafes and bars that line the lake.

Top five best beaches in Greece:
1.Sarakiniko (in Elafonisos Island, Peloponnese)
What a great experience we had at Sarakiniko beach. Simos beach is right around the corner and just as great of a beach! For such a tiny island, Elafonisos at the Southern end of Peloponnese offers three of the best beaches of Greece (Panagia beach is the third one), and just about the best looking water in the world.
2.Egremnoi (Lefkada)
One of the best kept secrets of Greece. Beautiful scenery, crystal clear turquoise water, and soft white coarse sand make this beach one of the best to visit. Its out-of-the-way location on the West coast of Lefkada, and the thousand make-shift concrete steps down (and then up), separate the huge crowds from this beach. Excellent by all measures.
3.Myrtos (Kefalonia)
Myrtos was voted as the best beach of Greece a few years ago, and for good reason. Fantastic water and bright-white pebbles, nested among steep cliffs on the west coast of Kefalonia.
4.Erimoupolis (Crete)
At the very northern tip of Eastern Crete, Erimoupolis stole our heart during our visit to this part of Greece. Nested between rugged rocks and an ancient cemetery, Erimoupolis is named after the "abandoned town" of Itanos, the ruins of which you have to pass on your way to the beach. Although the beach gets too crowded during the weekends, it is a joy to visit during weekdays.
5.Myrtidiotissa (Corfu)
The road to Myrtidiotissa is a real hazard for any car, so travelers have to park high up the hill near the monastery of Myrtidiotissa, and then walk down about a kilometer of dirt road. The water is crystal-clear, and the strip of soft brown sand is sheltered by tall cliffs on all sides. This small beach tends to feel overcrowded during full season, but a real pleasure early in the summer.

I heard that the month of August would be not too good for the Greek tourism industry. This is due to the Beijing 2008, all tourists are gone there.

The Crete Island is related too much with the Legends of the Olympe. It is said that Gods used to live there.

What else can you recommend about old buildings in Greece? I am really interested in the civilization of such a beautiful country.

Which is really nice in Greece is that there are places which make you forget what century you're living in. These places have a very classical and simple views. The rage of modern cities is absent even in Athens

Greece is a remarkably beautiful country. Is enveloped by the freshness of the marine air, bathing in historical memories and guarded by the mountain heights. It's a real pleasure to live there. my mom does and she never will live that country for it's beauty.

And i think the ancient art is the most interesting point in contemporary Greece.

The best example showing freedom of movement is the Discobolos (The Discus Thrower) by Myron in the Museo Nazionale Romano, Rome. This is one of the most famous classic Greek statues from this period. The Classical age also saw the first time human anatomy was deemed worthy of being portrayed in a statue and for ever immortalised in stone and bronze.

I absolutely don't think so. I've been on several Greek Islands and much of them are more and more beautiful as Mykonos. That's my personal opinion.
But Mykonos town is very nice and Greek

Athens
Being the capital as well as the largest city of Greece, Athens attracts hordes of visitors every year. Athens is also known as the center for arts and philosophy.
Meteora
The monasteries of Meteora are among the most photographed scenes in the world.
Delphi
One of the most famous archaeological sites in Greece, Delphi offers interesting excavations of the Oracle's world. The Delphi Museum includes the Charioteer and other important statues.

The monasteries of Meteora are among the most photographed scenes in the world. Sitting atop tall spires of rock, the monasteries were reputedly built to give religious hermits protection from thieves and others who would interrupt their meditations.

The cultural and historical background of Greece has sprinkled the landscapes with ruins that span six thousand years. The alternating invaders, the peaceful settlers, and the country's position at the crossroads between east and west, have all left their mark on the Greek cultural landscape. Archaeological sites abound in the country side, and museums in cities protect priceless artifacts from antiquity. It would be an omission to visit Greece and leave without experiencing the ancient Greek culture; the culture that is credited with the birth of western civilization.

Greece would be one of the places I would choose if I can go to Europe. Aside from the beautiful places, I want to learn the history of the place and also wanna check out their museums. I want to know facts about their temples and ancient artifacts. My aunt have been to Greece during her summer vacation. She showed us pictures of temples and museums(but not the items inside - cameras are not allowed inside).

If you are planning for a vacation to Greece, maybe this site could help: http://plazatravel.com/
They offer a lot of vacation packages for you to choose. You can also check itineraries of every vacation.
