As Senior Software Engineer you role will be wide and varied whilst working for a young Co. Armagh IT firm. Your existing clients include some of the biggest shopping centres and chain retail stores in Ireland.
Below is a glimpse of what you'll be involved in:
- Web Development : AJAX, JavaScript, Flash, ActionScript.
- Network programming Win32, VC++, WxWidgits Unicode VoIP including RTP, SIP, NATs etc
- Using JSP 2.0, web applications, Servlets, and custom tag libraries.
- Developing using object-oriented UI design (MVC, Swing, Struts, etc.).
- JSR 168 portlets Java UI technologies: both applets and full Swing applications.
- Personalization technologies or workflow. Eclipse plug-ins.
- IBM WebSphere, BEA WebLogic, JBoss, or ATG Dynamo.
Qualifications/ Experience:
- A degree in Computer Science or related discipline
- Ideally 3+ years experience programming in C, C++ and /OR PHP, Java/J2EE Server and client side scripting in Perl, PHP, HTML, CSS
- Relational database design and SQL programming Experience with Unix/Linux server environment
- Ability to work with a variety of others including other developers, designers, product managers, technical writers, marketers, technical support personnel, and customers in a cooperative but fast-paced environment.
- Excellent software architecture, implementation, and problem solving skills.
