This role is with a progressive and growing Group of companies based within the FMCG sector. They have grown steadily over the last four years both orgnically and through acquistion. They are currently recruiting for a Company Accountant for an eighteen month contract. Initially this is to cover a period of maternity but will be likely to evolve into a longer term role. This is a No1 in Finance position and therefore they are looking for a Commercially minded individual who can drive business change.
Reporting to the Managing Director the specifics of the role include:
- Preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Preparation of monthly management accounts according to agreed deadlines
- Development of timely and accurate KPIs
- Monitoring of the financial performance of the business
- Evaluation and recommendations for improvements in internal controls and systems
- Preparation of statutory returns
- VAT returns
- Bank reconciliations
- Liaison with auditors
- Preparation of year end financial accounts
The successful candidate will be a Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with significant post qualified experience in a commercial role. They will be a strong self starter with a "hands on" approach to work in this fast paced environment.
