Police suspects Uzi Aharon, the deputy mayor of Or-Yehuda, to burn hundreds of New Testaments. The incidents alarms advocates of religious freedom. It's the same humiliation as the Danish cartoon riots.
Just read the article on CNN.
Quote:"I hope the people who are responsible for breaking the law will be indicted and prosecuted," he said.
Are there any laws that prohibits burning books? :quoi
haven't heard of such law, but even if there isn't I think it would be stupid to leave this unpunished
what is the Israeli religion anyway?
it's certainly not catholic

It's jewish. Jesus was jew, of course. But the N.T. is Christian. :ange
and what's the difference?
For all Christians, Jesus was Messiah. The Israeli people(jews)still wait for him to come on Earth! :ange
you guys are professionals in religion! Confuseduper
and what happened next? Have the guilty ones been arrested
I read that unfortunately it hasn't been proven the guilt of Uzi Aharon. He was freed. Nobody punished
this case, I think, was as dangerous as the case of Denmark riots over cartoons. As you see, the Christians are not so fanatics and they didn't pay so much attention to this case.
Indeed, we are not so fanatics as radical Muslims are, but the majority of the Muslims are moderate people, not extremists .

why are the Islamic people so extremist? Is it their saint book which tells them to be like that?
