The famous Russian forwarder Arshavin was bought by English team Arsenal. The transaction valued 22 billion dollars. It was the most expensive transaction in Arsenal's history. The player will receive a salary of approximately 90,000 dollars per week.
Arsenal seems to be maintaining its policy of buying only non-residents (not Englishmen) in the team. We'll look forward for new great results from this team.
Arsene Wenger did not let him play last Sunday against Tottenham Spurs.
Arshavin is not in good shape now -- no practice for the past two months.

Interesting when will be his first appearance?

Unfortunately, Arshavin won't play in the Champions League this season.
His number is 23, so probably the 23rd game
Take a look at this funny picture - a typical Russian boy

A funny picture, indeed!

I hope Arshavin plays Monday against Cardiff in FA Cup.
I don't know what game will Arsenal show, but Ade is out... though, FA cup may represent a much easier route to trophies then the premier league title at this stage.
Arshavin will NOT make his Arsenal debut against Cardiff City in the FA Cup.
He is not eligible for this game. He can play in the FA Cup only in the next round, provided Arsenal defeats Cardiff.

So, his debut is now postponed till Saturday 21 against Sunderland in the Premier League.
Cardiff has fallen just twice in 15 League games on the road but have drawn nine games, so it has good chances against Arsenal.
