Anybody has any more details of why. Who is Russia going to blame now?
Yes, indeed, March 5, Putin said Gazprom will considerably reduce the supply of gas, unless Ukraine pays out the arrears before March 7.

Quote:"a suspension of the supply of our fuel both to consumers in Ukraine and to consumers in Europe,"

Happily nothing happened yet.

Putin made some declarations today. "We forgive Ukraine's debts, for we understand Ukraine is on the edge of bankruptcy."
It sounds weird. I mean on March 5 he warned against cutting the gas off, and now he simply "forgave" debts?

The whole thing about the conflict was weird. At the end Russia just dropped all the claims about Ukraine stealing , the Copenhagen court hearing claims by Russia droped.
I think it is only to remind to EU where the Gas comes from.
There must be something behind this, I think. Such declarations can't simply be empty. Probably they have reached an agreement on something, but it's kept as governmental secret. I mean arrears of 10 billion hryvnas can't just be "forgiven"
