I personally have found myself liking people that I didn't really like at first sight. I know falling in love is more of an involuntary feeling such that you cannot really choose who you fall in love with. But I do feel that people are able to immediately cross out people they would never ever date.
Is an attractive person very unlikely to date someone who is considered plain?
Well certain necessities must be met to that person. Some people rely on all looks in a relationship, others just go for personality, everybody is different. I personally, if I am not physically attracted to someone I cannot fall for them. I also have to like their personality because I need someone that can keep up with me. So I say about half and half on personality and looks.
