Development Manager required by North London based Housing Association to facilitate the retention and expansion of the organisation's business through the identification of suitable opportunities and delivery of successful bids and tenders.
You will be required to act as project manager and/or team member in teams tendering for existing and new business
You will be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the organisation. There will be extensive local, regional and national travel, with occasional overnight stays. The post holder must have their own transport.
KEY AREAS OF DELIVERY
1. Assist in the retention of existing business and the delivery of new opportunities in line with regional and corporate targets by effective liaison and joint working with internal colleagues and external agencies, stakeholders and partners.
2. Prepare and present tenders, other bids, reports and presentations as required. Convene and manage multi-disciplinary project teams and generate appropriate project plans for new business developments and be responsible for the provision of accurate and viable financial information.
3. Research and co-ordinate new business opportunities and initiatives in supported housing and care, in liaison with Group Centre and in line with area and national growth plans.
4. Prepare budgetary and additional financial information using revenue models and other appropriate tools
5. Liaise with the Area Business Manager to identify and manage risks.
6. Contribute to toolkits and other guidance to share learning and improve the quality of tenders and service models.
7. Liaise with capital development teams to ensure new business that incorporates capital and revenue elements is coordinated
8. Provide a customer focused revenue support service to internal and external partners.
9. The post holder will be expected to be flexible in the duties they undertake and will be required to carry out any other duties commensurate with the level and responsibilities of the post, as may be required by their line manager.
You should have:
Relevant and recent direct experience of developing or working in supported housing and care services
Relevant experience of developing services and dealing with revenue funding arrangements, current market trends and multiple income streams
£35 - £40k
Car/Car allowance
25 days for all full time staff rising by one day per year to a maximum of 30
