Love poetry can be defined as, “A verbal composition which expresses feelings of love, liking, affection, sexual or physical attraction or yearning for someone in a vivid and imaginative way, characterized by the use of literary techniques such as simile, meter, and metaphor and consists of elements like verse, stanza, and rhyming words”.
