In order for ships to navigate properly and have stability at sea, they must use ballast water and thus maintain operational activities with all the necessary safety during their voyage. But ballast water can present multiple microorganisms such as fungi, bacteria, parasites, eggs, cysts, larvae or any other that are pollutants and impact the environment. To avoid this problem, it is advisable to install in the ship a ballast water treatment system suitable for the particular needs of the vessel and thus comply with the international convention for the control and management of ballast water.
