Consumed in small doses, alcohol appears to increase sexual desire (actually, it merely reduce the inhibitions) but can cause difficulties in terms of level of excitation, if consumed in large quantities. Do we reduce the level of alcohol if we mix alcohol with juice or water?
Absolutely not! Mixing alcohol with fruit juice or water does not affect in any way the amount of alcohol per liter of blood. Alcohol remains directly related to the amount of alcohol in glass. Most of the alcohol ingested (98%) is absorbed, then eliminated by liver (and nearly all of the kidney), lungs and the skin.

Social drinking ...is the most common source of alcohol dependency. We meet with friends, drink a beer, a few glasses of wine. When we visit relatives, it's not nice to refuse if they offer a drink. Namely this weakness of character brings people down, making them addict to alcohol. Once you realize it isn't doing you good, just say "Thank you, but I don't drink".

Re: People and alcohol - Laurentine - 09-27-2009

In order to to get rid of the stress caused by managers during the daytime as well as for simply relaxing, people use to go to bars after work, instead of going home and normally take the dinner. Alcohol on empty stomach damages the latter and may generate ulcer. If you want to have a drink, make sure you eat something before or once having the drink.

Re: People and alcohol - Laurentine - 09-27-2009

People like to think that drink makes them forget problems...... however it's a myth. You should understand that alcohol can't physically solve your problems. So what if you get drunk one eveninng? The next morning you wake up with your head aching, you realize the problem is still holding your hand, it's still there, so instead of "forgetting".

Re: People and alcohol - Laurentine - 09-27-2009

Does drinking make us to communicate more easily? Yes, maybe alcoholic drinks untie us and we get in touch easier. Yet, if you were to hear the discussions within a group of drunk people, I doubt you'd drink again. The discussions are so useless and often stupid, that they only bring down our intellectual level.

If you do not drink at parties you can not feel good? The solution is inside your head! Determine your priorities - is it drinking that makes you happy? Oh, come on! You visit the party because your friends are waiting for you there, because the music coming out from speakers is nice. Alcohol deserves no priority, it's on the background.

Re: People and alcohol - Laurentine - 09-27-2009

Mixing alcoholic drinks is quite dangerous. Sometimes it may cause death from too much vomit. For example, drinking vodka and mixing it with beer will make you drunk only in a few minutes. Also, it's not good mixing red wine with white wine, especially at parties, as you may have the worst time in your life, spent in bathroom :?

Re: People and alcohol - Laurentine - 09-27-2009

Stay balanced!
Always stay balanced and keep spotlights upon yourself. A glass or two of wine at one occasion is not a problem, as long as you don't like this habit. It's great to always take your partner/wife/husband with you, who will take you home in time, so you could stop abusing of alcohol.

Can mothers consume alcohol during the breastfeeding period?
OF COURSE THEY CAN'T! Ban or limit yourself in consuming of alcohol and subsequently maintain the appearance of your baby, especially if you breastfeed, since the milk absorbs that alcohol as well, and in turn it goes to your baby. Take care.
