Re: Best internet browser - Hakan G - 08-06-2008 safari Wrote:Safari-the world's best browser. It's free. It's safe. It's better. I won't say so. I once installed Safari, because I liked the design, and when I opened it there was a problem with the text being displayed wrong, or was missing (I’m talking about the text of the browser’s menu). I then searched the net for this issue, and I found out a lot other users inquiring the same subject. This means it’s not a reliable application. Re: Best internet browser - Karl.in.eu - 08-07-2008 I may report the same issue, something went wrong with it. Re: Best internet browser - willyoumind - 08-12-2008 The Opera is so smart, as they've launched the "Opera Mini" browser, which it's so far the best cell phone internet browser of all... Re: Best internet browser - Benn - 08-12-2008 for a cell/smart phone the best browser is the fastest browser. In this sense, I'm satisfied with the Internet Explorer. Re: Best internet browser - Hakan G - 08-15-2008 I wonder is there any special version of Mozilla Browser for PDA’s? Or you can just go and install the standard version? Re: Best internet browser - Nicholas - 08-16-2008 Hakan G Wrote:I wonder is there any special version of Mozilla Browser for PDA’s? Or you can just go and install the standard version? From what I know only specially designed softwares will fit in a PDA. It is still a pocket PC not a notebook. Re: Best internet browser - Karl.in.eu - 08-16-2008 Thanks for clarifying this; I was wondering the same question. Too bad notebooks are not that compact as PDA’S are Re: Best internet browser - M.Helen - 08-17-2008 PDAs usually support windows mobile, while windows mobiles support .cab files, not .exe files Re: Best internet browser - Hakan G - 08-17-2008 M.Helen Wrote:PDAs usually support windows mobile, while windows mobiles support .cab files, not .exe files What do you mean by exe and cab? Re: Best internet browser - Nicholas - 08-17-2008 Hakan G Wrote:M.Helen Wrote:PDAs usually support windows mobile, while windows mobiles support .cab files, not .exe files that' the extention of the executable files in desktop or mobile windows. For example the file that you click to play a game is : game.exe On PDA's they don't work, you need : game.cab Re: Best internet browser - Hakan G - 08-17-2008 Thtat's strange. I don't have any files with .exe on my computer. Re: Best internet browser - Nicholas - 08-17-2008 Hakan G Wrote:Thtat's strange. I don't have any files with .exe on my computer. That is because the file extensions are hidden by default. In order to see its extension see this link: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.fileinfo.net/help/windows-show-extensions.html">http://www.fileinfo.net/help/windows-sh ... sions.html</a><!-- m --> It's a step by step guide. Re: Best internet browser - Faw_Peter - 08-18-2008 thank you for the information Nicholas. I knew it is hidden, but I didn't know how to make the extension appear. Re: Best internet browser - Nicholas - 09-27-2008 Not at all. Re: Best internet browser - M.Helen - 10-21-2008 So google has launched its browser. The browser looks pretty much easy to use and is designed as if for a mobile device. That leaves a kind of modern print. Re: Best internet browser - willyoumind - 10-26-2008 So, Helen. Did you love this Google Chrome browser, after you have tested it? Honestly, I think its still on the early development stage and it will become better in the future... Re: Best internet browser - Benn - 10-27-2008 I've used it and can fairly confirm that the browser is not a good one. I like the desing, but, I certainly don't like the time it needs to load a page. That takes a lot of time. Re: Best internet browser - tricker - 09-30-2009 I like a lot Google chrome and do not intend to change it.... :langue Also advice to try...will not disappoint you.. uper Re: Best internet browser - andris44 - 10-27-2009 Firefox is the most extensible and customizable browser, also it's open source and have the fastest JavaScript engine, i think it's the best one. Re: Best internet browser - Alexandr - 12-02-2009 It's immortal theme, guys , and we can argue about "whos browser is better and why" for ages, to each his own and every should choose what's better for himself. Programmers are using FireFox in majority, Chrome is pretty faster too, but if you're coder you definetly will have to install all kind of browsers: FF 1,5-3,0 , IE 6-8 , Opera, Safari, Chrome.... and so on... RE: Best internet browser - Akshay_M - 10-17-2020 Q: Which is the best browser in 2020? A: That is a great question because the answer is so obvious and yet most people get it completely wrong. Most people will answer that the Chromium project or that Google Chromium or Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge is the best browser but they obviously are not. All this browsers run on the Google Blink engine, that is what makes the that software a web browser. Google Blink is completely based on Apple’s WebKit (Safari). Google took webKit (WebKit is open source and Apple gives it away for free), added a bunch of bloatware and gimmickry on top of it. Google Chromium quickly got a reputation for being bloated, slow, eating a massive amount RAM, being unreliable and having too many security problems. Google then got so much bad press that they released Google Chrome, which internally is exactly the same as Google Chromium with some of the bloatware removed. Google Chrome still has too much bloatware in it, too many users still complain that it wastes too much RAM, crashes too much, still has security issues and half the users complain of its slow performance (which the other half claim that its fast, which is impossible because its still loaded with bloatware). Microsoft Edge is based on Google Chromium but adds its own bloatware and its own special problems on top, and remember that it too comes from Google Blink, so at its core it is actually Apple’s WebKit (Safari). Obviously the best browser is Apple’s Safari web browser, since everyone above uses WebKit at their core then obviously WebKit is the very best web engine in the world. Since Apple Safari is pure Apple WebKit without all the bloatware and other problems added to it by Google and Microsoft, plus Apple Safari does not track you, makes Apple Safari the very best we browser that I know of. That is why I recommend to all my clients to use Safari Webkit as their default web browser and all my clients are happy with my recommendations. |
