London: Technical support analyst - EUjobs - 07-24-2008 1st / 2nd line Support Analyst required. A minimum of 2 years experience of Microsoft Windows 200x desktop and Server support is essential, as is knowledge of network service troubleshooting, DHCP/DNS/WINS and TCP/IP Networking principles. You will be fully familiar with Microsoft desktop software such as Office 2000/XP/2003 and Outlook, and have an understanding of VPN technologies. You will be responsible for providing 2nd line software and hardware support on local network systems, supporting desktop systems and Server systems, and managing network operating system components. Excellent communication skills are a must as you will be required to maintain an effective level of communication with all client staff requiring IT support. You will also be assisting in completing small to medium sized projects according to agreed upon budgets and schedules and assisting with technology planning through ongoing research. The position is very much a hands on role, you can expect to be involved in technologies from structured cabling all the way through to blue chip client enterprise systems. Ideally the candidate will have some Microsoft certification, if not the candidate will be expected to attain at least one MCP in the first year. Salary £25,000 to £27,000 P/A. |
