London: Audio visual technician for hire staging and install - EUjobs - 07-24-2008
We are looking for an energetic and versatile technician to join our small team, full time.
We are a long established specialist audio visual company. Our hire fleet includes sound equipment, projectors, video gear, staging and lighting. We service several conference venues in London, installing equipment and providing technicians; events can be anything from a simple presentation up to a full scale conference or awards ceremony. We also carry out permanent installations for a blue-chip client list.
The person we are looking for will spend most of their working time on the hire and staging side, delivering kit to clients, setting it up, sometimes mixing sound or operating PowerPoint shows. With larger events you might be asked to work on any aspect of the project - set building, stage lighting... and a lot of fetching and carrying!
We need someone with at least some experience in the field and a real willingness to learn more. If you have additional technical skills such as electronics or engineering, so much the better. Please note that a full driving licence, valid in the UK, is essential, and you must be able and willing to drive a van round London (satnav provided!)
