London: Hotel maintenance operative temp to perm gbp8.27 per - EUjobs - 07-24-2008
A leading hotel in North West London has an immediate requirement for a Maintenance Operative to join them on a temporary to permanent contract.
Accountabilities
- To undertake room maintenance on a daily basis receiving orders through an internal I.T. system.
- Develop an understanding of switching and control arrangements of the plant and ensure that it is kept in an operational condition.
- To maintain, record and control stocks of consumable goods for use in general Hotel maintenance.
- To carry out ad hoc maintenance work as required by the Maintenance Manager, e.g. lamping.
The shift patterns will be as follows: Weekdays 8am - 4pm, 9am - 5pm; 10am - 6pm; 12pm - 8pm and weekends 10am - 6pm, with some late shifts expected.
Skills / Experience Required
- Previous hotel experience. [Essential]
- Multi-trade experience e.g. carpentry, basic electrical works, painting & decorating etc.
- Basic I.T. skills
- Good communication skills and presentable appearance.
