Job title: Assistant Accountant
Job purpose: To assist with the day-to-day operations and operational planning across the finance and accounting functions
My public sector client based in Carrickfergus is seeking to recruit an assistant accountant for up to 51 weeks who will be reporting directly to the finance manager. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a large and well organised finance department. The successful candidate must have CTC clearance.
Duties & responsibilities include:
- Participate as required in the budget planning process including the preparation and monitoring of resource and capital budgets.
- To assist in preparation of accurate and timely reforecast information to support decision making.
- To assist in the preparation of accurate and timely preparation of year end financial accounts and monthly management accounts.
- To assist with the preparation and delivery of year end accounts
- To prepare and/or review control account reconciliations
