London: E-commerce web analyst - EUjobs - 09-01-2008

An online retailer is looking for an E-Commerce Analyst with excellent web analytic skills to join their team and help support the Marketing and Operations teams in collating, analysing and interpreting traffic, sales and behavioural data to inform investment and web design decisions.
The responsibilities of the role include:
Mining and analysis of all site traffic data to identify relative performance in terms of conversion, cost, Average Order Value, ROI etc.
Using 3rd party PPC platform, analyse campaign performance at a granular level to highlight opportunities to increase investment and drive sales
Analysis of product level data, by channel, to understand which product types convert best in each channel (PPC, MSN Shopping, Comparison shopping sites, Affiliates). Work with IT teams to optimise feeds to partner sites based on results.
Use raw click-stream data to better understand customer click through and behaviour during the purchase process. Highlight key drop off points and identify potential reasons.
Analyse customer lifetime value by channel to inform better investment in channels providing high quality customers
Using 3rd party email platform, establish regular reporting and analysis of email performance (open rates, click through rates and conversion rates). Highlight key trends by email type and customer type
The ideal person for this role will possess excellent knowledge of Google analytics or other web analytics programs (e.g. Omniture / Coremetrics) & have preferably come from another E-Commerce or Online environment. You will be a logical thinker with an analytical mind who is self motivated & proactive. Excellent knowledge of Excel would be beneficial.
