London: Compliance officer for a global brand 25,000 per ann - EUjobs - 09-06-2008
This is an excellent opportunity to join the UK master agent of the global leader in money transfer services.
Due to rapid expansion of our network of agents in the UK we are looking to hire a Compliance Officer to start as soon as possible.
You need to be at least university educated with a background in accounting or finance or banking or legal.
You will be responsible for all day to day compliance activities. In particular this will include KYC/AML, reviewing documentation and reporting suspicious activities, compliance monitoring and carrying out assessments of the firm's compliance and regulatory requirements. You will also assist with the testing of accounting records, bring to the attention any breaches of policies and procedures, making recommendations and carry out analysis to identify instances of inefficient or misuse of resources and kept abreast of regulations and promoting compliance across the business.
We are seeking an individual who is a self starter who is looking for a broad and hands on role which will develop. We are looking for someone who has the ability to work using their own initiative. Previous compliance experience would be a benefit but not an essential requirement.
