Asthma is sometimes triggered by an allergic reaction. Asthmatics are advised to dust and hoover the house regularly, keep their furniture and bedding clean, and open the windows whenever possible. Some asthmatics react to red meat or red wine.

Asthma tends to occur in areas with poor air quality - as a last resort, moving to the coast or country (or just away from any source of pollution) may help.

Moving to mountain areas is a good advice, however it's a very difficult to decide to move just because a stupid thing like asthma happened to your health.
For preventing asthma, you should know the symptoms: difficulty breathing (especially exhaling), wheezing, coughing, mucous in the cough, and rapid pulse and respiratory rate.

For early stages of asthma take ten garlic cloves and boil in 30 ml of milk. The mixture should be consumed once a day. Steaming ginger tea with two minced garlic cloves in it, can also help to keep the problem under control, and should be taken in the morning and evening.

Lemon is also a fruit believed to be beneficial in curing asthma. The juice of one lemon, diluted in a glass of water and taken with meals, must bring good results

I heard that honey is a good remedy for treating asthma. If the one seek of asthma holds a jug of honey under the nose and he inhales the smell, he will start breathing easier.

Sun, air, water are great healing agents. Regular fasting once a week, breathing exercises, fresh air, a dry climate, light exercises, and correct posture - all these do a good job in treating the disease

Remember, climate conditions are usually the factors that cause asthma. Also, this factor affects the person during the disease. Quick climate change can bring to a hard asthma attack.

Each person sick of asthma needs an individual approach in curing it. Thus, the patient together with the doctors have to develop a plan against asthma. Any treatment must be accompanied by daily exercises.

Re: Can be asthma cured? - Riser - 04-01-2009

It is a fact that children, who drink plenty of milk, eat lots of butter, and dairy products have less chances of developing asthma and helps reduce wheezing. Although having an awful smell and taste, fish oil is as good as diary products in this matter.

Re: Can be asthma cured? - Peach - 04-11-2009

Indian gooseberry has also shown effectiveness in asthma treatment. Five grams of gooseberry mixed with one tablespoon of honey makes an efficacious medicinal drink for the healingof this disease. It should be taken daily, in the morning

Re: Can be asthma cured? - M.Helen - 06-26-2009

Asthma is an eminently controllable illness. Indeed, for most sufferers, control is so effective that it amounts to a virtual cure. But asthma is not curable in the same way as, say, a bacterial pneumonia; it never entirely goes away. Also, no one cure would ever suffice. It is becoming increasingly clear that there many types of asthma--and they differ greatly in their presentation and genesis. For example, asthma that presents as a chronic cough, the "cough variant of asthma," appears to be very different from the life-threatening variety, which results in extreme respiratory failure and sometimes death.http://www.scientificamerican.com/artic ... cured-what

Re: Can be asthma cured? - Benn - 09-11-2009

Asthma cause airway obstruction (ways in which air enters and exits the lungs). This obstruction is fortunately reversible. This means that the airways are blocked sometimes, but not always. This reversibility is main feature of asthma, along with airway inflammation. Spirometry is used to diagnose asthma, which measures the patient's expiratory capacity. Exposure to industrial pollutants like sulfur dioxide during thermal inversions, all types of asthma worse and may even trigger asthma to patients who had lung disease. Smoking does the same. To Chef asthma is caused by reaction to wheat flour, which is part of the family which includes asthma to joiner, to the photographers, Metalworkers, welders, farmers, and the pressmen. Patients who not have symptoms in weekend suggest a professional asthma.
