London: Community dietitian - EUjobs - 09-18-2008 2.To be responsible for a range of early intervention and prevention initiatives delivered in the Borough of Bromley via Children's Centres, Schools and in families' homes. 3.To work with other Bromley Children and Families Project Dietitians and other agencies to develop, implement, monitor and evaluate a range of initiatives to improve the health of children in Bromley e.g. Fun with food for Babies, Cool Kids use Cups, Big Cook Little Cook. 4.To participate in training programmes for multi-agency staff with other Bromley Children and Families project Dietitians. 5.To build on work already developed to deliver a range of creative and innovating activities that encompass evidence based practice to inform the client group about nutrition, food and health issues. Management 1.To develop a realistic work-plan and an effective mechanism to evaluate and monitor the work undertaken. 2.To contribute to regular team meetings reporting to the Head if Dietetics. 3.To source and order suitable resources, and teaching material for use with the Community Dietetic Service. 4.As part of the Bromley Children and Families Project Team, to oversee the work of Nutrition Assistants working in schools and Children's Centres and with other initiatives. Education, Audit and Research 1.To Initiate, participate in and evaluate specialist training programmes for other health providers on aspects of nutrition and health for children and families. 2.To participate in audit and research programmes as part of the work of the Community Dietetic Service. To disseminate the outcomes of audit and research in reports and presentations. 3.To respond promptly to new published research, Department of Health initiatives/publications relating to nutrition and health for children and families, identifying any changes in practice required locally. 4.To identify, develop and utilise appropriate evidence-based written information material for use with other public and health providers.
