Are you left or right brain? - Aeneas - 11-08-2008 So take a look at the animation below. If you see her turn clockwise then you're supposed to be a right-brain type of personality. Just curious, what did you guys see? Some claim to see her spin both ways when they blink. And some think it's all bogus. What do you think? Here's the whole article. http://www.news.com.au/perthnow/story/0,21598,22492511-5005375,00.html Re: Are you left or right brain? - Terry - 11-08-2008 I had enough of this picture!!!!!!!!! This is made to fool people. If you watch it carefully, you will notice that it turns both sides - clockwise and counterclockwise. Each rotation lasts for about 10-15 seconds then it changes unnoticeable. Re: Are you left or right brain? - Aeneas - 11-09-2008 Brilliant! If you read the article - you will conclude that you use both hemispheres. Most people see it only in one direction because their brain ignores the other. Re: Are you left or right brain? - M.Helen - 11-10-2008 in order to understand faster the point, just take a look at the girl's shadow. It's easy to notice when the spin direction changes. Re: Are you left or right brain? - Terry - 02-08-2009 Here's a great test that will help you determine the dominant part of your brain <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://frank.mtsu.edu/~studskl/hd/hemispheric_dominance.html">http://frank.mtsu.edu/~studskl/hd/hemis ... nance.html</a><!-- m --> Re: Are you left or right brain? - Steven - 02-15-2009 Main functions LEFT BRAIN FUNCTIONS uses logic detail oriented facts rule words and language present and past math and science can comprehend knowing acknowledges order/pattern perception knows object name reality based forms strategies practical safe RIGHT BRAIN FUNCTIONS uses feeling "big picture" oriented imagination rules symbols and images present and future philosophy & religion can "get it" (i.e. meaning) believes appreciates spatial perception knows object function fantasy based presents possibilities impetuous risk taking Re: Are you left or right brain? - Benn - 02-22-2009 Also, the left part of the brain is responsible for * Maths; * Languages; * Logic; * Capacity of analyzing; and right part of the brain is responsible for: * Imagination * Colour perceiving: * Music; * Rhythm feeling; * Dreaming; Re: Are you left or right brain? - Andrewz - 02-25-2009 So far I understand, being a left or right brained has nothing to do with being a left or right handed, right? Or maybe left-handers use more the left part and right-handers use the right part? Re: Are you left or right brain? - Benn - 03-06-2009 Andrewz Wrote:So far I understand, being a left or right brained has nothing to do with being a left or right handed, right? Or maybe left-handers use more the left part and right-handers use the right part? Ha, no Andrewz, I know it's a bit confusing, but it's vice-versa. Left-handers use the right hemisphere of the brain and right-handers use its left part. And, there are people who can write with both right and left hand, so they probably use well both hemispheres. Re: Are you left or right brain? - Nathan - 04-06-2009 Left-brained people were the smartest people in the world, like Ein Stein, Mendeleev. By the way, here's another test that may verify your brain's capacity <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.blogthings.com/areyourightorleftbrainedquiz/">http://www.blogthings.com/areyourightorleftbrainedquiz/</a><!-- m --> Re: Are you left or right brain? - M.Helen - 04-06-2009 I don't really believe in these tests. My iq test showed very poor figures, but I "protest"! I consider myself smart enough to have a higher iq. However, my iq is higher than G. W. Bush's That makes me happy. |
