Nanotechnology and NanoComputers - Admin_phpbb3_import1 - 03-05-2009

Nanotechnology is a hot topic to discuss these days.
So what is nanotechnology and nano computers?

Nanotechnology, which is sometimes shortened to "Nanotech", refers to a field whose theme is the control of matter on an atomic and molecular scale. Generally nanotechnology deals with structures of the size 100 nanometers or smaller, and involves developing materials or devices within that size.

Nanotechnology is extremely diverse, ranging from novel extensions of conventional device physics, to completely new approaches based upon molecular self-assembly, to developing new materials with dimensions on the nanoscale, even to speculation on whether we can directly control matter on the atomic scale.

Nanotechnology is an expected future manufacturing technology that will make most products lighter, stronger, cleaner, less expensive and more precise.

yes, the world's technological progress makes extremely swift steps. Do you understand what 1 nanogram, for example, means? It's the 1 billion part of the millimeter. And now, imagine that this extremely tiny part includes something technological in it.

We should try to create biological nanotechnology. That would be: gettin DNA codes, making a library for what sequence does what. Stem cell research could lead down some interesting roads.
