Rational use of natural resources - Benn - 06-08-2008 Often the exploitation of nature has been done in a non-sustainable way, which is causing increasing concern, as a non-sustainable exploitation of natural resources ultimately threatens human existence. People like luxuries, and often these gadgets made of natural resources. How an economy can use sustainably the nature's resources Re: Rational use of natural resources - Steven - 06-11-2008 As the time passes, people will understand that they have to be more reasonable at consuming natural resources. But the question is "when will it happen?". I mean by that time, it may be too late Re: Rational use of natural resources - Faw_Peter - 06-20-2008 People already begin to understand that. They feel that the bough they are sitting on is cut by themselves! But it doesn't concern everybody. Re: Rational use of natural resources - Steven - 06-20-2008 I wouldn't say people begin now to use rational the resoureces. For example they don't care when they leave the room with the light or TV turned on. I would say that people are becoming more indifferent... unfortunately Re: Rational use of natural resources - Faw_Peter - 06-23-2008 For making the use of resources more efficient and rational, every country should pass a law that would prohibit big companies to extract mineral resources in unlimited quantities. These are world-importance resources and they must be protected. Re: Rational use of natural resources - M.Helen - 06-24-2008 Some natural resources can be reproduced within a few years or decades (renewable resources), like trees, soil, plants. Oil, minerals, and soil take hundreds, thousands and even millions of years to be made, and consequenttly they are called non-renewable resources. Re: Rational use of natural resources - Benn - 07-01-2008 The most of the environmental problems are related to our rate of consumption of material goods and thus of natural resources. Re: Rational use of natural resources - Benn - 07-15-2008 all we can do is probably refuse consuming some things and be more economical, which is quite difficult to do after we got used to this modern world. Re: Rational use of natural resources - M.Helen - 07-30-2008 Rich countries are those which would not accept at all using rationally the resources. Yes, people are intelligent there, and they may tell many things like - "no doubt, we should use the resources reasonably", but no step would be made by them to this direction. Re: Rational use of natural resources - Benn - 07-31-2008 At the same time, rich countries are those who are concerned about the environment problem. And the should, those who opened the Pandora's case should close it back Re: Rational use of natural resources - Nicholas - 08-16-2008 Benn Wrote:At the same time, rich countries are those who are concerned about the environment problem. And the should, those who opened the Pandora's case should close it back You must mention that all rich countries should take some actions, not just a part of them. Otherwise we risk having the problem left unsolved for a long-long period. Re: Rational use of natural resources - Faw_Peter - 08-16-2008 there will always appear at least a state that would have something to complain about Re: Rational use of natural resources - Karl.in.eu - 08-30-2008 This is how human beings are meant to be. Only when they realize the seriousness o a situation, only then they’ll take it to direct actions. Re: Rational use of natural resources - Benn - 08-31-2008 what practical event should happen that each, yes, I said each person realizes the danger? Re: Rational use of natural resources - Hakan G - 09-04-2008 When people will be dying in an unbelievable consequence. Re: Rational use of natural resources - M.Helen - 10-21-2008 Actually the Arctic Ocean contains a lot of resources which are undiscovered yet by the human. As the Ocean melts, these resources are going to be used and could cover the lack of resources to the end of the 21st century. |
