Chinese earthquake - Steven - 05-12-2008 Saw what happened in China? An earthquake of 7.8 magnitude, over 7,600 people died, awful. Re: Chinese earthquake - Benn - 05-13-2008 Today the number of the dead reached 12000 people Re: Chinese earthquake - Babuin - 05-14-2008 What will happen if this powerful earthquake wil be in Eastern Europe? Will it have all that many casualities? Are their building built to withstand powerful earthquakes? Re: Chinese earthquake - Steven - 05-14-2008 The skyscrapers in China are more resistant than in Europe, but actually the most of buildings are weakly build. Such a big earthquake can not happen in Europe, since we don't have such seismic zones. Re: Chinese earthquake - Terry - 05-29-2008 the number of deaths is below 60,000 . they prepare for other possible earthquakes Re: Chinese earthquake - Guest - 06-16-2008 Steven Wrote:The skyscrapers in China are more resistant than in Europe. How do you know?
