I would like to know in detail, how the MEPs are selected in to the EU Parliament. I would like to know more about the procedure emplemented in the EU structure not in individual states. How many members are choosen from how many candidates.

They are elected ... and I believe that the rules for parties to get on the ballot differ in the Member States. The procedure is usually proportional representation, but someone else should know more.
