When you purchase a new retail copy of world of warcraft cataclysm does it give you a free month of play when you enter the game code to activate the account?

There is only a 7 day free trial for Cataclysm. Meaning you can download all major patches for game content and play for just 7 days. Cataclysm standard and collector's edition do not include free game time, only trial card codes to give to friends.

No it won't have a free month of play, like all previous expansions. Only the original game offers a free month of game time, as well as the Battlechest package that has the original WoW plus Burning Crusade.
