What sport has had the biggest changes over the years? What sport has had the least? - Jules - 01-24-2011 What sports have had the largest changes based on technology, popularity, geography, and any other factors i can't think to put here. What sport has been played generally the same over the years? Re: What sport has had the biggest changes over the years? What sport has had the least? - Sadie - 01-24-2011 I think they all have changed, and not for the better. Tennis- Racquets so powerful it's impossible to play a serve and volley game anymore. Baseball-Steroid juiced monsters making homeruns a hohum thing. Lazy admirers failing to run out hits. Football-300 pound plus lineman endangering their health, boring predictable play calling, prevent defense never works. Basketball is Basketbrawl Hockey-No more open ice, defense oriented, neautral zone trap crap Re: What sport has had the biggest changes over the years? What sport has had the least? - Addie34 - 01-24-2011 Believe it or not I think Darts has came back with a vengeance, In the last few years. It was quite stale for a few years & now they're having record crowds, more prize money, roadshows, neon lights, showgirls & catchy intros. There are a lot of emerging players from overseas, especially holland & I can only see the sport continue to grow. |
