Are sports important on your high school resume when applying to go to a college? - Kat1245 - 01-27-2011 I am wondering because I am very athletic, however I am not sure if I want to participate in any sports. I take on a lot of leadership skills, extracurricular activities, and I am practically valedictorian, but just how important are sports on your resume? Re: Are sports important on your high school resume when applying to go to a college? - Dru987 - 01-27-2011 Colleges like it if you played sports in high school because it shows that you are a team player and that you have school spirit. It's not necessarily better than other extracurriculars, but it does look good to colleges. (Of course, if you want to do sports, that's great, but don't do it because you feel like you have to.)
