what is super string theory

Its a theory in physics that basically says that instead of fundamental particles everything is made up of fundamental vibrations or oscillations. That each "particle" described in particle physics is a vibrating string. The vibration of the particular string is set to a specific frequency (cycles per second) and this is what gives each fundamental string it's characteristics. This theory has not been proven because the energies required to observe these strings are too high - no accelerator has been built that can produce those energies.

string theory is an attempt to relate general relativity with quantum theory ...................general relativity is applied to big objects as stars and planets and quantum mechanics is a science that studies the physics at a sub-atomic level and forces working in the atom............string theory involves lots of different theories but what string theory is really trying to say is that atoms are composed by tiny little strings of energy, combined to make all of the things in the universe.
